BREM offers internationally trained mental health professionals two program streams:

10-12 months, full-time program of over 800 hours, including 4-6 months of supervised placement, mentoring and job search supports.

The main goal of this program stream: Preparing participants to find meaningful employment in the field of mental health.

12-14 months, full time program, including enhanced academic curriculum (over 1,100 hours, including a course series in psychotherapy), 6 months of supervised placement, SEUS seminar (Safe and Effective Use of Self), small group clinical supervision, mentoring and job search supports.

The main goal of this program stream: Helping participants meet the requirements for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, CRPO as RPs (Qualifying)* as well as preparing them for employment in the field.

CBT Online Certified Training delivered in partnership with Adler Institute for both streams

*Note: Although BREM (Stream R) has been accredited by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO), a final decision as to an applicant’s fulfillment of registration rests entirely with the CRPO. BREM participants are urged to check with the CRPO ( regarding their own qualifications and whether this or any program is sufficient to meet competency requirements.
